Dell S2409W LCD Monitor Review
Feb 5th
My old CRT monitor had started to show signs of ageing & so purchasing a new monitor was on cards. Today, the heavy CRT monitor’s have become extinct due the cheap manufacturing costs involved in LCD technologies. One can today easily get an LCD monitor as big as 22inch comfortably under Rs.10,000. This means going for smaller models is useless unless one is on a tight budget.
Bitter Proceedings for Pixel Track
Sep 4th
It feels very sad & difficult to write but Pixel Track – Photography Forum is no more. My Photography dream which began just a week ago has been interrupted due to server outages. Due to insufficient funds, I cannot even upgrade the hosting & hence I had to press the dreadful delete button on Pixel Track. While Pixel Track is gone, Gaurav Live & Layman Linux will continue in their usual flow.
For time being, all photography articles will be posted here i.e. on Gaurav Live. At the moment, I’m really sad but I still have a hope that someday I can re-launch the Photography Forum. I’m really sorry but I had to do this. As I said before, shutterbugs can catch up with all my photography articles here & there is a possibility that the forum can be re-launched somewhere in the near future. I hope you understand my plight & accept this move. Thanks for your support.
Regards,
Gaurav Prabhu
Fight against Swine Flu
Aug 13th
Swine flu(h1n1) has terrorised the entire city under its spell. The Government has declared a week long holiday (starting today) for School & Colleges in the city to curb the spreading of this epidemic disease. Even the Multiplex theatres have been asked to shut down doors for three days to stop the spreading of the virus. People all around are seen wearing masks or covering their faces with handkerchiefs. If all this troubles were not enough, the media (once again) is going ga-ga over Swine Flu & in some or the other way instilling fear in the mind of the people.

Apr 30th
A couple of months ago, I registered myself so that I can vote in the upcoming elections. The elections were held today & it was declared a public holiday. After getting up late, it dawned upon me that finally the day to vote is here.
