Rain God greets the Indian Premiere League 2

There are times when you await for the moment, but the moment never arrives. Same was the case today. Being a cricket junkie, watching the IPL’s matches has become indispensable for me these days. I always look to finish my work early during day time, so I can relax in the evening and enjoy the thrilling matches of the ongoing IPL Season 2.

Today, the Mumbai Indians were scheduled to take on over the last year champions Rajasthan Royals. I was jubilant from the very outset, but then nature had some other plans. It began to pour intermittently in Cape Town & the result was an abandoned match. After waiting the whole evening for the match to commence, I was left disappointed & thirsty since my cricket hunger wasn’t satisfied. I think many of you would agree with my plight (especially those supporting Kings XI Punjab), who lost their today’s match with Kolkata Knight Riders by Duckworth Lewis Method. The Duckworth Lewis method is somewhat a nasty invention, as sometimes it gives an edge to one side over the other. Also I think the IPL should have been moved to England instead of South Africa, since weather is know to play bad in South Africa than England. At least we could get the full version of the already short version of the game.

But then nobody can be stronger than the might nature. Every human is just a slave of it. The only respite for me now was seeing Mumbai Indians on the top of the IPL Rankings table.

Well, I don’t think that Rain God “Greeted” IPL 2, but infact it the opening door towards pitch, boundaries, sixes and wicket was closed by the Rain.

The whole joy of game was drowned in water. Powershots of Jaysurya, turns of Warne, Master strokes of Sachin and many happening didn’t happen..

SRKs KKR seemed to be lucky, because no one could ever predict as in what would happen next. T20 is a game of many twist and turn. So, I think that the interesting factors of the game was unfortunately washed out.

It’s the same theme but it has a unique feature to change the headers & the colour scheme. :)

Regarding KKR losing, I might not do it.
